Underfloor heating
This laminate floor is suitable for installing above water-based underfloor heating systems. Please consult your dealer for special information about installing on underfloor heating systems. It is not permitted to install the panels on electrical underfloor heating systems.
Cleaning and care
- Remove any loose dirt by brushing it off or with a vacuum cleaner suitable for use with hard floors.
- Wipe off footmarks and dirt with a well wrung, non-dripping cloth.
- Avoid standing moisture at all costs! Special care should be taken where plant pots, vases, etc are placed on the laminate. In this case, please place a non-porous underlay beneath them.
- Work off and remove stubborn dirt on the spot with a suitable cleaning spray or acetone.
- For day-to-day maintenance, please use a conventional floor wiper.
- Do not use all-purpose cleaners, polishes or cleaners with additives such as wax, oil or similar.
- Please use a large enough door mat around entrances to doors.
Attention:
Protect your floor against scratches or indentations! Furniture with wooden, metal or plastic feet must be fitted with felt underlays. Only use office chairs with soft rollers (DIN 68131) or place a standard commercially available mat underneath them. By following these instructions, you will increase the life of your laminate floor and will retain full guarantee entitlement.
Please note before installation!
Prior to installation, please read the installation instructions through carefully. Follow these instructions precisely to retain full warranty and guarantee entitlements. Please check the panels for defects in good light conditions. Once you have started using the panels, you will no longer be able to make any claims due to defects. Note: This laminate flooring is not suitable for wet rooms, e.g. bathrooms and saunas.
Preparation:
- Please store the packages in the same climatic conditions as for laying 48 hours before installation.
- An important perquisite for installation and long-term reliability of this laminate floor is an ambient climate with a temperature of approx. 20°C and a relative humidity between 50-70%.
- The substrate must be completely level, dry, clean and sturdy.
- Any unevenness in the floor exceeding 3mm over 1m must be properly evened out.
- When installing on mineral substrates, e.g. concrete, cement screed, anhydrite screed and stone tiles, etc, first take a moisture reading.
The screed’s residual moisture must not exceed the following values before installing:
Cement screed; with underfloor heating < 1.8% CM; without underfloor heating < 2,0% CM
Anhydrite screed; with underfloor heating < 0.3% CM; without underfloor heating < 0.5% CM - Carpets are not a suitable substrate. Please remove them prior to the installation.
- Laminate flooring is laid “floating” and must not be glued, nailed or fixed to the substrate in any other way (do not use door stoppers)!
- We recommend you sort the panels before laying according to the required grain direction and any colour nuances.
- Use the contents of packages immediately once opened!
You will need the following for the installation:
Sound-absorbing underlay, PE foil, spacing wedges, chock, fitting aid, drawbar, saw, hammer (at least 300 g), pencil, measuring rule if required: Clickguard™, white glue D3, joining compound
Installation
Depending on the particular application, there are three installation methods at your disposal:
- A Fast, glue-free installation.
- B Installation with Clickguard™ Clickguard™ provides lasting protection for the floor against moisture from above. The flooring can be taken up again and relaid.
- C Glue-based installations also offer lasting protection against moisture, however the work is more time-consuming and the flooring cannot be taking up and relaid again.
- Before installing on mineral substrates, always install a suitable vapour barrier foil (PE foil) in the form of a trough to protect against moisture. Allow the sheets to overlap 20 cm and fix with adhesive tape. Never use PE foil when installing on wooden sub-grounds.
- Please use a 1.2 mm PE foam film or other suitable 3mm underlay for sound absorption. Please lay the sheets in the same direction as the panels.
- If the walls are not straight, trace the line of the wall on the first row of panels and saw off the edges of the panels appropriately. Measure the depth of the room before installation. If the last row of panels has a width less than 5cm you will need to evenly distribute the remaining measurement between the first and last row of panels so that both rows are cut to size with the same panel width. Always maintain a 12-15mm distance from the wall, heating pipes, columns and door stoppers, etc. Use spacing wedges to fix this distance. Expansion joints (at least 2cm wide) are needed for laying areas exceeding 8m in length or width. Please note that these will also be required when laying flooring across more than one room. The laying area have to be interrupted around the door frames. Mobile joints can be covered in a professional manner using the appropriate profiles. Recommendation: Lay the panels in a longitudinal direction to the main light source.
- Begin the installation in the left-hand corner of the room. Lay the first panel with its tongue facing the wall and use spacers to ensure the correct wall spacing. Lay the other panels in the specified sequence. (see Fig.)
- Begin the second row with half a panel or the left-over piece from the first row. Insert the tongue side of the panel obliquely at an angle of 30° into the lower groove cheek of the panel that is already laid. Next push it in exerting a slight downwards force. Once the panels are lying flat, the transverse joints between them are sealed using a hammer and chock. This is particularly easy thanks to their design with transition fit. The panels are simply clicked into place.
- Handy hint: In general, you should position the fitting aid (panel section with longitudinal tongue profile) lengthwise at the height of the two head joints. This prevents damage when locking the panels together. When gluing/sealing, place a sufficient amount of D3 white glue or Clickguard ™ on the upper tongue cheek. After 10 minutes, once dry remove any exuding glue with a plastic scraper. Remove all residues using a glue remover, a non-scratch pad and/or clear, warm water. When using Clickguard ™ , please follow the relevant instructions for use.
- To cut the last panel to size, turn it 180° and position it with its decorative side facing up next to the row that has already been laid (groove cheek to groove cheek) and the wall side. Allow for sufficient space around the end face. Mark the panel length and off. To prevent the edges from splintering, the decorative side should be facing downwards if you use an electric compass saw or handheld circular saw. Otherwise saw from the panel upper side.
- Fit the last panel in the row using the drawbar. From the third row, the panels should be laid in the sequence as shown in the Figure. Begin each new row with the remaining piece (at least 20cm in length) from the previous row. The offset between the transverse joints of one row of panels to the next should be at least 40cm.
- Carefully fit the last row of panels into position. With a narrow panel width, the head joints of the last row are joined using the narrow edge of the chock. Once the installation is complete, remove the spacing wedges.
- You will need to cut out holes 3 cm more than the pipe diameter for the heating pipes. Cut out a V-shaped “adapter piece", apply glue, fit and fix using a wedge until the glue hardens. Afterwards, cover the cut-outs with radiator rosettes. Please shorten wooden door frames enough to allow a panel including the sound-absorbing underlay can fit underneath it. The laminate flooring should also be allowed to move without restriction in case of changes to the ambient climate.
- For the perfect finish, fix the skirting board clips 40 -50 cm from the wall and then attach the skirting boards after they have been properly cut to size.

Installation
- If the walls are not straight, please trace the line of the wall on the first row of panels and saw off the edges of the panels appropriately. Measure the depth of the room before installation. If the last row of panels has a width less than 5cm you will need to evenly distribute the remaining measurement between the first and last row of panels so that both rows are cut to size with the same panel width. The laying area have to be interrupted around the door frames. These mobile joints can be covered in a professional manner using appropriate profiles. Recommendation: Lay the panels in a longitudinal direction to the main light source.
- Begin the installation in the left-hand corner of the room. The lower groove check which just out should face you. Lay the panels of the first row by joining together the first two panels, and each subsequent panel in turn using a fitting aid (panel section with longitudinal tongue profile), as shown in the figures.
- Handy hint: In general, you should position the fitting aid lengthwise at the height of the two head joints. You should adjust the elements to their final position. This prevents damage when locking the panels together.
- Next, knock on the flat panel to be laid with the palm of the hand until it locks into place across the entire panel width.
- To make this possible, the chock is placed on the panel lengthwise to the head join. Make sure that the chock extends approx. 5-10mm beyond the edge. In this way you can ensure that the surfaces of both panels fit flush. Lay the complete first row of panels according to the procedure above. Maintain a distance of 12-15mm from the wall using the spacer wedges!
- Start at the left-hand side of the 2nd row by inserting the long tongue side of the panel obliquely at an angle of 30° into the lower groove cheek of the panel that is already laid (from the 1st row). Next push it in exerting a slight downwards force. Begin each new row with the remaining piece (at least 20cm in length) from the previous row. The offset between the transverse joints of one row of panels to the next should be at least 40cm.
- Subsequent panels are firstly inserted lengthways and pushed tightly against the previous panel end to end before being lowered until the top layers press against each other.
- Next use the palm of your hand to knock around the transverse join area of the flat panel until it locks into place across the entire panel width. Afterwards lock the head joins into place by tapping them lightly with the hammer and chock (see Fig. 4) Use the fitting aid to assist you here. All subsequent panels must be installed according to the following procedure.
- If required, the transverse joins may need to be closed by hitting the side of the panel using a suitable chock.
- To cut the last panel to size, turn it 180° and position it with its decorative side facing up next to the row that has already been laid (groove cheek to groove cheek). Allow for sufficient clearance to the wall around the end face. Mark the panel and saw off. To prevent the edges from splintering, the decorative side should be facing downwards if you use an electric compass saw or handheld circular saw. Otherwise saw from the panel upper side. If necessary, fix the last panel of the row with the drawbar. After installation, remove the spacing wedges.
- You will need to cut out holes 3cm more than the pipe diameter for the heating pipes. Cut out a V-shaped “adapter piece", apply glue, fit and fix using a wedge until the glue hardens. Afterwards, cover the cut-outs with radiator rosettes.
- Please shorten the wooden door frame enough to allow a panel including sound-absorbing underlay to fit beneath it. The laminate flooring should also be allowed to move without restriction in response to changes to the ambient climate.
- For the perfect finish, fix the skirting board clips 40 -50 cm from the wall and then attach the skirting boards after they have been properly cut to size.
