Problems

Every room has its own features which you need to take into account during installation. Even problem rooms can very easily be dealt with the Clic- and Duoclic system.

Walls which are not straight

If walls are not straight, please trace the line of the wall on the first row of panels and saw off the edges of the panels with a compass saw appropriately. Important: Measure the depth of the room before installation. If the last row of panels has a width less than 5 cm you will need to evenly distribute the remaining measurement between the first and last row of panels so that both rows are cut to size with the same panel width.

Direction of installation

For aesthetic reasons, always lay the panels in a longitudinal direction to the main light source (window).

Expansion joints

For installation areas greater than 8m in length or width, plan on using expansion joints that are at least 2 cm wide. This will also be required when laying flooring across more than one room. These areas must be interrupted around door frames. These “mobile joints“ can be covered with appropriate profiles.

Heating pipes

For heating pipes, you will need to cut out holes 3 cm more than the pipe diameter. Cut out a V-shaped “adapter piece", apply glue, fit and fix using a wedge until the glue hardens. Afterwards, dress up the cut-out around the pipe with a radiator rosette.

Door frames

Please shorten wooden door frames enough to allow a panel including the sound-absorbing underlay to fit beneath it. The laminate flooring should also be allowed to move without restriction in the event of changes to the ambient climate.

Different substrates

The screed floors must be completely level, dry, clean and sturdy prior to installation. Even out any unevenness in the floor which exceeds 3mm over 1m by sanding or by filling in the gaps. Use the PE film to protect against moisture.
If you are laying the floor on wooden planks, make sure these are fixed in place and any unevenness has also been evened out. The LOGOCLIC® floor must be installed muss transversely to the longitudinal direction of the wooden planks.
Do not use PE film when installing on wooden substrates! When installing on laying panels, connect these firmly with the sub-structure to prevent the floor from creaking when walking across it. PVC- and linoleum floors only make suitable substrates when they are glued across their entire surface and when no underfloor heating is installed.

Underfloor heating

All LOGOCLIC® floors can be installed on warm water-driven underfloor heating systems. When doing so, use the expansion joints on the bare floor. Important: It is not permitted to install the panels on electrical underfloor heating systems!
